About Scarlett Silk Skirts
Founded by Shani Solomon creative designer, Scarlett Silk Skirts creates one-of-a-kind, hand-printed silk wearable art pieces. According to Solomon, "My
creative process begins with forming an image, which is a fusion of my original drawings and carefully curated collages. Inspiration comes from the rich culture of Japan, my artwork reflects the beauty and intricacies of this fascinating country." Scarlett Silk Skirts prioritizes the use of sustainable and fair trade silk fabrics, utilizing ethical fabrics to ensure they are not damaging the environment, in addition to non-toxic and AZO-free dyes. Each print is unique as colors are never repeated. Solomon creates one-size clothing that emphasizes the bias, resulting in a natural drape that enhances the beauty and elegance of every body type, firmly believing in the principle that "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication," which guides her art, my printing techniques and garment construction. As she says, "The outcome of my work is a collection of extraordinary, bold, and vibrant wearable art pieces that I take great pride in creating. I pour my heart into every piece, and I hope that you will appreciate and cherish them as much as I do."
