Girl Scout Shapes in Nature Badge Workshop

Calling all Girl Scouts! Earn your Girl Scout Shapes in Nature badge while exploring Hillwood's spectacular gardens.A Junior Girl Scout wearing a green vest sits on a large rock in a garden holding a clipboard and pencil with her chin in her hand staring contemplatively into the distance.

Find shapes and patterns in the great outdoors and then create your own nature-inspired art to take home, including a ginkgo leaf patterned placemat and a wire tree sculpture.

Meet Sam Krause, a local birder, who will guide you through using shapes and patterns to identify the colorful birds in Hillwood's gardens.

Explore shapes and patterns in nature as you stroll Hillwood's grounds at your own pace, using an activity booklet that leads you on a self-guided adventure to discover blooming flowers, lush gardens, and natural woodlands.

This program fulfills all requirements to earn the Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Shapes in Nature badges.

Reservations are recommended due to limited capacity.

Hillwood is a Premier Program Partner of the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital.
